Commander Damon J. Bridges
Commander Damon Bridges was born in Louisiana. He enlisted in the Navy in 1992 as an undesignated Airmen Recruit. Earning his commission through the Enlisted Commissioning Program, he graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science in 2004. He received his Masters of Arts in International Relations from Webster University in 2010.
Afloat, his initial sea tours were aboard USS SHREVEPORT (LPD 12) where he served as Electrical Division Officers, in USS VICKSBURG (CG 69) as the Damage Control Assistant. Subsequent sea tours were in USS FARRAGUT (DDG 99) as the Engineer Officer and as a Project Officer and Assessor at Engineering Assessments Atlantic (EAA).
Ashore, CDR Bridges worked as a Training Liaison Officer at Afloat Training Group, Mayport. He also served as the Deputy Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations Warfare Integration (N9I) and as a Staff Officer on the Staff of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy.
CDR Bridges’ personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various service and campaign awards.
