Shield
The shield’s shape is inspired by the Wisconsin state flag.  The silver gray border and 25 rivets allude to the USS MARINETTE (LCS 25) and the rich history of shipbuilding at the Marinette, Wisconsin shipyard.  The colors green and gold are celebrated by Wisconsin sports fans.  Blue and white waves power a buzz saw amongst Wisconsin fir trees, symbolizing the water-powered saw mills that made Marinette one of the largest lumber outposts in US history. The badger is the state animal of Wisconsin and its gold claw marks represent the tenacity and strength of the USS MARINETTE crew.  A crossed hammer and micrometer denote the tools of the shipwright trade and reinforce the motto, “FREEDOM DONE WRIGHT.”

Crest
The Marinette shipyard cranes flank a representation of the USS MARINETTE (LCS 25), honoring the rich shipbuilding legacy of Marinette, Wisconsin.

Motto
The ship’s motto, “FREEDOM DONE WRIGHT,” is a play on the trade name shipwright, a tribute to those who build the Freedom-class ships.

Seal
The coat of arms as blazoned in full color on a white oblong disc within a blue designation band, edged with a gold roped border and bearing the name “USS MARINETTE” at the top and “LCS 25” at the base.
