Congratulations on your orders! On the behalf of the entire crew, I would like to welcome you aboard USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28)! We look forward to introducing you to our crew and integrating you into our warfighting team. Our ship has a crew of nearly 400 Sailors, and when deployed, we will take on an additional 700 marines, their aircraft, amphibious craft, vehicles, and equipment. When all of these elements come together as a team, we provide our nation with a powerful, flexible, and mobile force, ready to take on any of the world’s toughest challenges.
