CMDCS Chief Jackson
Command Senior Chief
Command Senior Chief Jackson is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She enlisted in the Navy on August 14, 1996 and completed Basic Training and Fireman Apprentice School at Great Lakes, Illinois.
She reported for her initial sea tour onboard the USS Simon Lake (AS-33) in December 1996 forward deployed in La Maddalena, Italy, where she earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Designation. Upon competition of this sea tour she reported to Aerographers Mate A-School in Biloxi, Mississippi in January 1999.
Upon completion of A-School, she reported to Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst in Lakehurst, New Jersey in June 1999. Serving as a Weather Observer she advanced to the ranks of Petty Officer Third Class and Petty Office Second Class during her tour.
She reported onboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) in June 2001 in Mayport, FL. During her tour she completed a deployment in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and earned the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Designation. In April 2005 she returned to Biloxi, Mississippi for Aerographers Mate Forecasting C-School.
Upon completion of C-School, she reported to Naval Aviation Forecast Center Norfolk, VA in January 2006. During her tour she advanced to Petty Officer First Class, serving as an Aviation Forecaster and Section Leading Petty Officer. In January 2009 she reported to Naval Professional Development Detachment Atlantic, Norfolk, VA. Serving as an instructor and curriculum developer she earned the Master Training Specialist Certification.
She reported to Expeditionary Combat Readiness Command Norfolk, VA in January 2011 for an IA assignment to Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa. While deployed to Djibouti, she served as the Forecasting Leading Petty Officer and earned the Information Warfare and Expeditionary Warfare Designations.
She reported to Fleet Weather Center Norfolk, VA, in January 2012 assigned to Strike Group Oceanography Team. During her tour she served as a member of the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) and USS Bataan (LHD 5) METOC Detachments. She was advanced to Chief Petty Officer and completed a deployment in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. In January 2015 she reported to Fleet Weather Center Norfolk Operations Department, severing as the Operations Leading Chief Petty Officer. During this tour she was advanced to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.
She reported onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) in January 2018 in Norfolk, VA where she served as the Lead 3MC. She completed a deployment in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 205, Gold), and a graduate of Command Master Chief Course (Class 208).
Her current assignment is Command Senior Chief, USS Wichita (LCS 13).
Command Senior Chief personal decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Award (six awards) and the Good Conduct Award (eight awards), as well as various unit awards, campaign and service decorations.
