LT. Cmdr Travis Snover

An Iowa native, LCDR Travis Snover holds a B.A. in Business Management from Buena Vista University and an M.A. in Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College where he graduated with distinction. He earned his commission through the Officer Candidate School in 2008.
At sea, Snover served as Auxiliaries Officer on USS GUARDIAN (MCM-5); as Navigator on USS TORTUGA (LSD-42); and as Combat Systems and Operations department head on USS GREEN BAY (LPD-20). During his tours, these ships supported numerous national and allied exercises and taskings, such as Talisman Sabre and UNSCR Enforcement Coordination Cell operations.
Ashore, Snover served as a Company Officer at the United States Naval Academy where he qualified Craft-master on Yard Patrol craft. He served on the staff of Surface Warfare Schools Command in the N75 department as the Command Assessment and Major Command courses coordinator.
His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal, and various unit, campaign, and service awards.
