Commander James A. Walker
CDR James Walker is a native of Mississippi. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Art degree in History.
Sea Duty Assignments include: Work Center Supervisor in USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54), First Lieutenant and Combat Information Center Officer in USS SIMPSON (FFG 56), Damage Control Assistant in USS BAINBRIDGE (DDG 96), Detachment Officer in Charge (OIC) for Riverine Squadron ONE, Chief Engineer in USS NITZE (DDG 94), Staff Director and Material (N4) in Destroyer Squadron TWO.
Shore Duty Assignments include: Project Officer for Engineering Assessments ATLANTIC and Project Officer (N44) for Commander Naval Surface Forces ATLANTIC.
CDR Walker has a Master’s Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in National Security Affairs. He reported to USS RAMAGE as the Executive Officer in February 2020.
