WELCOME ABOARD!

Selfless Warrior, Welcome Aboard and congratulations on your orders to USS JOHN BASILONE (DDG 122), named after one of this country’s greatest heroes. We are creating a ship that is built to fight, and maximizing our combat capability is my principal focus. As we do this, however, I want JOHN BASILONE to be a great place to work and live. I truly believe that each and every Sailor is a leader, and I am certain that your tour on JOHN BASILONE will be a great opportunity to grow personally and professionally.

I am pleased to inform you that you have been assigned your sponsor who is available to answer any questions that you may have prior to your arrival. Your sponsor is vital to making your transfer to USS JOHN BASILONE a success. Feel free to contact him/her. Additional important information can be found on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/USSBasilone.
