General Dynamics announced that the USN has awarded funding for the planning and construction of DDG 124 for the 2016 Fiscal Year. Keel of ship was laid 06 April 2021. DDG 124 was Christened 29 July 2023. The ship conducted its float off 04 Oct 23. The ship is expected to commission March 2025.
