Mission Statement

We are the Fighting EIGHT!

We are an agile force representing the best our nation offers. We exemplify the highest standards. Trust, Loyalty, and Respect are our foundation; Integrity, our bedrock.

We are a team of warfighting professionals, dedicated to readiness and development of each other. We are disciplined, resilient, and accountable to our families and fellow Fighting Eight.

We are warriors. We represent the bravery demonstrated by the Sailors and Marines who fought for freedom on the shores of Bougainville. At all times, in war and in peace, our actions reflect the proud heritage.

We will fiercely defend our Nation, our ship and each other. We embody excellence in Amphibious Warfare. We will prevail in the face of adversity with determination and dignity.
