Command Master Chief (SW/AW) Edward P. Bazile is a native of New York, and raised in the borough of Queens. In June 1997, he graduated from Springfield Gardens high school and enlisted in the United States Navy October 23, 1997. Upon completion of Basic Training Command, Great Lakes Illinois, he reported to Seaman Apprentice School, also in Great Lakes.

Master Chief Bazile served as a boatswain's mate and plank owner aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) from January 1998 to September 2002. He deployed January to July 2000 where the ship made the first Western Pacific (WESTPAC) deployment of any U.S. Navy ship in the 2000s as part of Operation Southern Watch. He also deployed a part of Operation Enduring Freedom from December 2001 to June 2002. Following completion of his first sea tour Master Chief Bazile reported to Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles, California, from January 2003 to December 2006. He converted to Navy Career Counselor (Career Recruiting Force) June 2005 and was meritoriously advanced to Petty Officer First Class July 2005.

Master Chief Bazile’s shore tours include: Navy Recruiting District Chicago, Illinois, from March 2007 to March 2010, Navy Recruiting District, San Francisco, California from May 2010 to March 2013, Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, Tennessee from June 2013 to July 2015, Enlisted Assistant Chief Recruiter of Navy Recruiting District Richmond, Virginia from August 2015 to September 2017.  In February 2017 he was selected into the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program.

Master Chief Bazile’s additional operational tours include: Cooperative Security Location Comalapa, El Salvador from October 2017 to August 2018 as the Command Senior Chief, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWELVE (HSC-12) Atsugi, Japan as the Command Master Chief from September 2018 to March 2021, USS New Orleans (LPD-18) Sasebo, Japan as the Command Master Chief from April 2021 to May 2023.

Currently, Master Chief Bazile is the Command Master Chief of PCU Bougainville (LHA 8).

Master Chief Bazile is qualified to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) and the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist (EAWS) insignia. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) and various unit, service, and campaign decorations.
Master Chief Bazile graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class BC 56 (Silver) in December 2014, and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) course (Class 177) in September 2017.
