CMDCS(SW/FMF/AW/IW) Brandon H. Ellison
Command Senior Chief  

 

Command Senior Chief Brandon Ellison enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 25 August 1998.  Upon completion of basic training, he reported to Hospital Corpsman “A” school, Great Lakes, Illinois.  After graduation he reported to Field Medical Service School, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and attended Field Medical Service Technician “C” School.
 

In May of 1999, he reported to his first duty station, 2d Medical Battalion, 2d Force Service Support Group, Camp Lejeune.  There he held multiple positions, attended numerous courses, and deployed to both Greece and Norway in support of unit exercises.  
 

In 2002, he transferred to the Naval Operational Medicine Institute (NOMI), Pensacola, Florida where he was assigned to the N3 and participated in the development, review and evaluation of the HSV 2 SWIFT, Army’s Flight Medic programs, and the Navy Medical Lessons Learned System in addition to supporting JTF KATRINA hurricane relief efforts.
 

In October 2005, Petty Officer Ellison reported to 2d Marine Air Wing (MAW), Cherry Point, North Carolina where he deployed twice ISO OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM with Marine Wing Support Squadron 274 and Marine Air Group 14; after he was reassigned to the 2d MAW HQ Staff as the Medical Plans Chief until his selection for CPO in 2008.  After selection, he was assigned as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Marine Air Wing Combined Medical Clinic.  
 

In 2009, Chief Ellison volunteered for a Individual Augmentation billet and deployed in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM as part of a Security Force Advisor Team with NATO Training Mission Afghanistan and the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division to Regional Command North, Afghanistan.  Upon completion of his IA tour, Chief Ellison transferred to 2d Marine Logistics Group and was assigned to the Headquarters as the Chief, G-1, Navy Personnel Officer & Manpower Chief.  While assigned, he deployed to Regional Command South West in support of OEF with Commbat Logistics Regiment 2.
 

Chief Ellison was selected for special duty as a Command Climate Specialist, and was assigned to the Pre-commisioning Unit GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78).  Onboard the FORD, he was promoted to Senior Chief and assigned as the Training Department Leading Chief Petty Officer.  Senior Chief Ellison was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in February of 2019 and was assigned as the CMDCS of USS ST LOUIS BLUE in July 2019.

Senior Chief Ellison is a graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy Class 207 Red and Command Master Chief/COB Course 202. He has earned an Associate of Science degree Thomas Edison State University. 

 

His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendations Medal (4 gold stars), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal gold star, and numerous individual campaign and unit awards.
