Welcome and congratulations on getting orders to USS Mason, we are excited to have you! Mason is currently home ported in Mayport Florida and is the best ship on the waterfront. Once you’ve received official orders to Mason, email sponsorhip@ddg87.navy.mil to get in contact with a sponsor who will show you the ropes. We look forward to seeing you onboard!
You are getting ready to join a team of warfighters, battle tested and battle proven. We are proud to be the third US ship with the name and represent our past crew with honor, courage, and commitment. As soon as you step on board you are joining the most hardworking and resilient team who will support your goals and success. We train and educate to make the most developed and lethal sailors in the Navy. I hope you are as excited to join the crew as I am to have you on board.
