CMDCM(SW/IUSS) Paul Dammon 

 

Master Chief Dammon enlisted in the United States Navy in April 1999.  Upon completion of basic training, he attended Surface Sonar Technician “A” School in San Diego, California, and then continued on with several “C” schools before his first fleet assignment. 
At sea, Master Chief Dammon has served aboard the guided missile frigates USS Nicholas (FFG 47) and USS Ingraham (FFG 61), and was a commissioning crew member of the guided missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109).  During his sea tours he completed multiple deployments to the 5th and 6th Fleet AORs, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and to the 4th Fleet AOR in support of Operation Martillo Counter Transnational Organized Crime operations.
 
Ashore, Master Chief Dammon served two tours at Commander Undersea Surveillance, at Dam Neck, Virginia. 
 
Selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader Program in 2017, he served as the Command Senior Chief at Beachmaster Unit Two, where he was subsequently selected for Master Chief Petty Officer.  He currently serves as the Command Master Chief for USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55).  
 
Master Chief Dammon’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Management, the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 200/Red), and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 180).
 
Master Chief Dammon’s military awards and decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (4 awards), and various unit and service medals and ribbons. He has also earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Integrated Undersea Surveillance Specialist insignias.
