Welcome aboard amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1)! USS Wasp is the first of eight Wasp-class multi-purpose amphibious assault ships and is the 10th warship to carry the name. The ship's primary mission is to support U.S. Marines in combat, and to also provide disaster relief and medical support to those in need.
