Congratulations on your new assignment to USS MESA VERDE (LPD 19), the finest amphibious transport dock (LPD) in the fleet.  MESA VERDE is a San Antonio class LPD, named after Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado.  She was commissioned about 16 years ago on December 15th, 2007. 

I wish to personally extend to you a warm welcome to our team.
