Commander Jeffrey Servello is a native of Hollywood, Maryland. A 2002 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he a holds Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Masters of Professional Studies in Leadership, Education, and Development from the University of Maryland.
Afloat, he served as the commanding officer of USS Squall (PC 7) from June 2013 until November 2014. While in command, Squall executed a homeport shift to Bahrain and conducted operations in the Arabian Gulf.
Servello’s other sea duty assignments include his department head tours on USS Nitze (DDG 94) and USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) as the engineer officer and his division officer tours aboard USS Port Royal (CG 73) where he served as the ship’s fire control officer, auxiliaries officer, and damage control assistant.
Ashore, Servello served at the United States Naval Academy, as an instructor of naval science and as the officer representative for the Yard Patrol Squadron, Surface Warfare Officer Distribution at the Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tennessee as a placement officer and detailer, and most recently as an instructor
