Welcome to Afloat Training Group, Norfolk!  We are a multi-talented organization responsible for executing basic phase training of ships in accordance with the Tactical Training Strategy.  This includes Combat Systems, Engineering, Supply, Administration, Damage Control, Aviation, Seamanship, Medical, and Navigation.  The Group is comprised primarily of Surface Warfare Officers, Restricted Line Officers, and highly skilled senior enlisted personnel in various ratings.  We work directly for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (COMNAVSURFLANT).
