Mission Statement
To support the Commander, Naval Surface Forces in providing
fully dedicated Fleet medical assets designed specifically to provide Role II,
forward resuscitative medical and surgical capability for deploying amphibious
readiness groups (ARG) in support of peacetime forward presence missions,
across the full range of military operations. This care includes surgical
support, expanded lab and blood bank services, intensive care, ward care, and
psychiatric support on designated casualty receiving and treatment ships
(CRTS).
