Commander Reeves is a 2010 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
A Surface Warfare Officer, his sea duty assignments include Electronic Warfare Officer and Electrical Officer in USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57); Navigator in MCM CREW FEARLESS; Chief Engineer in USS PAUL IGNATIUS (DDG 117); Chief Engineer in USS SAN DIEGO (LPD 22); Materials Officer (N4) and Operations Officer (N3) on the staff of Commander, AMPHIBIOUS SQUADRON SEVEN. He is currently serving as the Executive Officer of USS MESA VERDE (LPD 19).
Ashore, Commander Reeves served as an Anti-Submarine/Anti-Surface Warfare Tactics Instructor at the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC).
Commander Reeves earned a Master of Science in Systems Engineering and a Technical Systems Certificate in Space Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an Executive Certificate in Public Administration from Liberty University.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with Gold Stars), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with Gold Stars), and various unit and service awards.
