CDR Holliday was born in Durham, North Carolina and commissioned from The Citadel in 2010 with a B.S. in Business Administration, earning honors as the Distinguished Naval ROTC Graduate. He also holds an M.A. from George Washington University in Leadership Education and Development.
His assignments at sea include USS ROOSEVELT (DDG 80) where he served as the Strike Officer and fleeted up to Training Officer from 2010-2014. He also served onboard USS MONTEREY (CG 61) as the Weapons Officer, fleeting up to Combat Systems Officer from 2018-2021.
Ashore, CDR Holliday served as a Company Officer at the United States Naval Academy through the LEAD program, Academic Director for the International Surface Warfare School at Surface Warfare Schools Command, and as the Ship Operations and Training Financial Officer at Assistance Secretary of Navy’s Financial Management Budget (FMB) office.
CDR Holliday reported to PCU PATRICK GALLAGHER (DDG 127) in August 2025, and is currently serving as Executive Officer.
