Cmdr. Timothy S. Davey

Commander Timothy Davey is a native of Marion, Ohio. He is a graduate from Baldwin Wallace University in 2009 with a dual B.A. in Political Science and International Studies. In February 2010, he graduated from Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a Surface Warfare Officer Ensign in the United States Navy.
CDR Davey served as the Combat Electronics Division Officer and then as a Deck Division Officer onboard USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3) from April 2010 until July 2012. His second Division Officer tour was as the Navigator onboard USS MONTEREY (CG 61) from 2012- 2014. CDR Davey deployed twice during his division officers tours in support of combat operations in Iraq, Libya, and Ballistic Missile Defense for the Fifth and Sixth Fleet Areas of Responsibility.
His Department Head tours were as the Combat Systems Officer onboard USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3) from 2018-2019, and the Navigator onboard USS BATAAN (LHD 5) from 2019-2021. During these tours he deployed twice to the Fifth Fleet Area of Responsibility.
Ashore, CDR Davey served as the Korean Desk Officer, then the Pacific Desk Officer for Naval Special Warfare Group ONE in Coronado, California from 2014-2017. While stationed with NSWG-1, CDR Davey executed five joint exercises and four bi-lateral training events. In April 2017, CDR Davey earned his Masters of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego. CDR Davey served on the Staff of the Chief of Naval Operations, N801 in 2021 as the analyst for Amphibious and Auxiliary Ships and as the Executive Officer of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity.
He reported to USS GUNSTON HALL (LSD 44) as the Executive Officer in October
2025.
His awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (6 Awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (2 Awards), and various other personal, unit, and service awards.
