Command Senior Chief Courtney Lobo is a second-generation Sailor and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in July 2003 from Citrus Heights, California. After completing basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, she went on to graduate Cryptologic Technician Maintenance (CTM) “A” School in Pensacola, FL in 2004.
Her first duty assignment was to Navy Security Group Activity Maryland where she served as a Network Technician responsible for global network security vulnerability operations in support of Combatant Commands. She cross rated to Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN) in June 2005.
Her subsequent tours were at Navy Information Operations Command Suitland, Navy Cyber Warfare Development Group, Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii, 501 Combat Mission Team, 550 Cyber Protection Team, and U.S. TENTH Fleet.
She was selected to the ranks of Chief Petty Officer in 2015 and Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2020.
In December 2021, she reported to U.S. SEVENTH Fleet Staff embarked on the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) as the Fleet Cyber Planner. She was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2024.
She assumed the role and duties as PCU Robert E Simanek (ESB 7) Blue Milcrew Command Senior Chief in August 2024.
She is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 223 “Khaki”), Command master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 24120), Cyber Operations Planning Course, Maritime Staff Operations Course, Joint Targeting Staff Course, Joint Intermediate Target Development Course, and Joint Battle Damage Assessment Course.
Lobo is qualified as an enlisted information warfare, surface warfare, and aviation warfare specialist, as well as certified in Advanced Warrior Toughness Training.
Senior Chief Lobo holds an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and is pursuing her Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration with a minor in organizational leadership.
Her personal awards include the Joint Service Achievement Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), and various other unit and campaign awards.
