Master Chief Rape, is a native of Lake Placid, FL. He graduated from Lake Placid High School in 1989. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1995 attending Basic Training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Florida. He graduated Operation Specialist "A" School -Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Master Chief Rape assumed duties as Command Master Chief, DESTROYER SQUADRON SIX ZERO -Rota, Spain -April, 14, 2025.
His fleet assignments include Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THREE as an operation center watch stander; Assault Craft Unit FIVE as Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Navigator; Naval Beach Unit SEVEN as an LCAC Navigator; Combined Joint Commander TWO as Protective Security Detail OIC; Training Support Center Hampton Roads as Center Naval Aviation School Senior Enlisted Leader; Assault Craft Unit FOUR as LCAC Craftmaster; Navy Personal Command as Sea Special Programs Detailer.
His previous Command Master Chief tours include: AFSB (I) PONCE (LPD 15), USS GETTYSBURG (CG 64), USS PAUL IGNATIUS (DDG 117), Mine Division TWO TWO, and Surface Warfare Schools Command.
During his at-sea fleet assignments, Master Chief Rape conducted 10 deployments to 5th, 6th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility in support of NATO and Joint Operations.
Master Chief Rape was promoted to Chief in September 2006 and completed the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 169 and the Command Master Chief Course Class 136. He is qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Seabee Combat Warfare.
Master Chief Rape's personal awards include Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation and various campaign and unit awards.
