Commander Andrew Marsh is a native of Horicon, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree of National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in 2016.
Commander Marsh’s sea assignments include serving as the First Lieutenant onboard USS SIMPSON (FFG 56); Damage Control Assistant onboard USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68); Chief Engineer onboard USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG 81); Operations Officer onboard USS NEW YORK (LPD 21); and the N4 Materials/Logistics Officer as part of Destroyer Squadron 28.
Commander Marsh’s shore assignments include serving as a Seamanship and Navigation Instructor at the United States Naval Academy, and as Executive Officer at Afloat Training Group Mayport.
Commander Marsh’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit and service awards.
