SENIOR ENLISTED LEADER, USS DEVASTATOR (MCM 6)

Raised in Danville, VA, Muhammad Habeebul-Lah enlisted in the Navy in August, 2002. After graduating from RTC Great Lakes, Aviation Machinist Mate “A” School, and T-56 Turboprop “C” School, he reported to AIMD Sigonella, Sicily in 2003.
In 2005, he transferred to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31, based at MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, where he served onboard USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) in continued support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, he qualified as a Collateral Duty inspector for General Electric F404 series engines and components.
His sea service includes USS George Washington (CVN 73) in Yokosuka, Japan, and USS Wasp (LHD 1) in Sasebo, Japan, and Norfolk, VA, where he served as the Safety Officer and Safety Manager Assistant.
Ashore, his in-rate assignments include Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department Misawa, Japan, and Pre-trial Confinement Facility Yokosuka, Japan, where he was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2014. In 2021, he transferred to Naval Test Wing Atlantic in Patuxent River, MD, where he advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer. He served as the Senior Enlisted Leader of VX-23 and was selected to the Command Program in 2024.
CMDCS Habeebul-Lah is currently serving as the SEL onboard USS Devastator (MCM 6).
Command Senior Chief Habeebul-Lah’s awards include, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign awards. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 256/Gold Group) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course (Class 24140).
