Chief Rajendran hails from Staten Island, New York and enlisted in the Navy in 2006 and reported to Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois. He graduated from Hospital Corps “A” School, Great Lakes, Illinois in April 2007 and completed Dental Strand “C” School in May 2007.
From 2007-2010, he served as a Hospital Corpsman onboard Walter Reed Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland as a Leading Petty Officer (LPO) for Orthodontic and Pediatrics Dental Department. He reported to USS FRANK CABLE, Guam in 2010-12, and served as a Repair Parts Petty Officer and Medical Training Team. In 2012, he reported to Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida and served as an Assistant Leading Petty Officer for four years at Naval Branch Dental Clinic. He transferred to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in 2016 as a student to Field Medical Training Battalion. In 2016, he served as a Directorate LPO 21/31 area Dental Clinic for 1st Dental Battalion/ Naval Dental Center, Camp Pendleton, California. In 2020, he reported at PCU John F. Kennedy CVN 79, Newport News, Virginia as the Department Leading Chief Petty Officer for Dental Department. He is currently serving as Senior Enlisted Leader at Fleet Surgical Team-8 in Norfolk, Virginia since October 2024.
Chief Rajendran holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Southern Illinois University, Master in Health Care Administration from Webster University. His personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Award (1), Navy Marine Corps Achievement Ribbon (4), Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Marine Corps Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Battle E Ribbon (2), Navy Good Conduct Ribbon (5), National Defense Service Medal Ribbon, Global War Terrorism Service Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Ribbon, Outstanding Volunteer Ribbon, Navy Reserve Sea Service Ribbon, Navy Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Navy Rifleman Ribbon, Navy Pistol Ribbon.
