Executive Officer, USS NANTUCKET (LCS 27)

Commander Bell is a native of Boiling Springs, NC. He enlisted in 1998 as an Electronics Technician. He served at FACSFAC VACAPES and then in USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) for ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM during the Shock and Awe campaign. He was selected for Seaman to Admiral-21 and attended University of South Florida earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
After commissioning he reported to USS FARRAGUT (DDG 99) as Auxiliaries Officer completing a UNTIAS deployment. He later served as Assistant Operations Officer and Boarding Officer completing a Counter Piracy/IKESTRKGRU deployment. He then reported to USS CARNEY (DDG 64) as Fire Control Officer and Boarding Officer for a second Counter Piracy deployment.
He attended Naval Post Graduate School (NPS) earning a Master of Science in Applied Physics. Following his tour at NPS he reported to USS MILWAUKEE (LCS 5) serving as Combat Systems Officer and then Operations Officer.
He reported to Destroyer Squadron FOUR ZERO as Operations Officer. While there he completed deployments in support of SOUTHERN SEAS 2018 aboard USS GUNSTON HALL (LSD 44), Counter Illicit Trafficking aboard USNS SPEARHEAD (T-EPF 1) as Officer in Charge of Military Detachment and UAV Operations, and aboard USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20) for Comfort Deployment 2019 providing medical relief to 12 countries in Central America, South America and the Caribbean Islands.
He then reported to Destroyer Squadron TWO SIX as Plans and Logistics. He managed operational planning, personnel and parts movement for five DDGs in USS EISENHOWER Strike Group deployment as part of OPERATION SENTINEL. He recently competed his shore tour as N80, Director of Seamanship and Navigation, at Afloat Training Group Mayport.
He is currently serving as Executive Officer on USS NANTUCKET (LCS 27).
