Command Senior Chief David A. Chisholm, a native of Walton-Verona, Kentucky, enlisted in the United States Navy on July 2nd, 2003. Following the completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to Naval Service Training Command in Great Lakes where he completed the Seaman ATD program and proceeded to the Fleet undesignated.
Upon completion of ATD training, Command Senior Chief Chisholm reported onboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), Norfolk, VA where he struck Boatswain’s Mate. His Fleet assignments include USS Germantown (LSD 42), USS Freedom (LCS 1), USS Sioux City (LCS 11), USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), and Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Four. In addition, he completed one shore tour at Recruit Training Command as a Recruit Division Commander.
Command Senior Chief Chisholm was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2023
and is serving as Command Senior Chief at Pre-Commissioning Unit Beloit (LCS 29).
Command Senior Chief Chisholm holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Homeland Security from American Military University, an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration from Kaplan University, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership from American Military University. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 213 and CMC/COB Course Class 23110. Additionally, Command Senior Chief Chisholm has earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, Small Craft Insignia, and Master Training Specialist designations.
His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
