Cmdr. Jason DeJesus is a native of San Diego, California. He is a 2007 graduate of the California Maritime Academy and also earned a United States Coast Guard Third Mate’s License.
 
Cmdr. DeJesus has completed two staff assignments in Carrier Strike Group TWELVE as the Assistant Surface Operations Officer and Destroyer Squadron TWO EIGHT as the Materials Officer. His afloat tours include the Engineer Officer onboard the USS Cowpens (CG 63) and USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) as well as the USS Mustin (DDG 89) as the Navigator and Communications Officer.

Cmdr. DeJesus’ shore duty assignments include the Naval Safety Command as a Code 60 Assurance Assessor and at Center of Information Dominance, Unit Monterey as the Legal Officer, Executive Officer, and the Operations Officer. He also attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey and completed the National Security Affairs program with an emphasis in the Far East.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and other personal and unit awards.
