 OSCS Jonathan Godlove hails from Perryville, Missouri. He enlisted in the Navy in February 2009.  After completing Recruit Training, he reported to Naval Station Great Lakes, where he completed Operations Specialist “A” school. After his completion of OS “A” School, OSCS Godlove reported to the USS BATAAN (LHD 5) in September 2009, where he served as the division Leading Petty Officer, Air Intercept Controller and Combat Information Center Watch Officer, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. While onboard he completed three deployments to the FIFTH and SIXTH AORs.
 
In November 2014, OSCS Godlove transferred to the USS SAN JACINTO (CG 56). While onboard, OSCS completed the Air Intercept Controller Supervisor Course of Instruction and was advanced to First Class Petty Officer. OSCS qualified as Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator and completed one deployment to the FIFTH and SIXTH AORs.  
 
Following his tour onboard the USS SAN JACINTO, he went to his first shore duty station at NAS Key West in December 2017, where he served as TARPON Air Intercept Control Divisional Leading Chief Petty Officer. While at NAS Key West he was selected for Chief Petty Officer and pinned to OSC on September 14th 2018. During his shore tour he controlled and supervised over 300 air-to-air training missions for the F-18, F-16, F-15 and AV-8 platforms accumulating over 1,000 air intercepts.
 
In 2020, OSCS Godlove reported to the “Black Jacks” of Tactical Air Control Squadron TWO ONE where he has served as the Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and is currently the Senior Enlisted Leader. Shortly after reporting OSCS completed one deployment to the FIFTH and SIXTH AORs where he qualified as a Tactical Air Control Center Watch Officer. In September 2021 he was selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer.
 
He has an associate degree from Saint Leo University and is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy.  His personal awards include one Navy Commendation Medal, four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, five Navy Good Conduct Medal, and various other campaign medals and unit awards.
