CMDCM LeDezman Johnson currently serves as Command Master Chief onboard USS GRAVELY (DDG 107). He is a native of Lawtey, Florida who enlisted in the United States Navy in March 2001. He completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois and reported to Ship’s Serviceman “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi.
His previous sea duty stations include USS CARR (FFG 52) Norfolk, Virginia; USS CARNEY (DDG 64), Mayport, Florida; USS TORTUGA (LSD 46), Norfolk, Virginia. He also volunteered as an Individual Augmentee to Joint Task Force Guantanamo.
His shore duty stations include Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Goose Creek, SC; Navy Supply Corps School, Newport, Rhode Island; and Columbus Military Entrance Processing Station, Gahanna, Ohio.
His personal awards include; Defense Meritorious Service Medal (one award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal (one award), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (nine awards), Army Achievement Medal (one award), Good Conduct Service Medal (seven awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
His education and qualifications include Associate of Science for Business Management from Columbia Southern University, Command Master Chief & Chief of the Boat Course, United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 210, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Master Training Specialist.
