Commander Arthur Bond attended Virginia Tech and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Leadership. He received a commission via the ROTC program after graduation.
CDR Bond’s assignments at sea include Division Officer tours on USS DE WERT (FFG 45) as Ordnance Officer and USS MAHAN (DDG 72) as Damage Control Assistant. As Department Head CDR Bond served aboard USS LASSEN (DDG 82) as Chief Engineer and on Destroyer Squadron ONE (CDS-1) staff as Material readiness and Logistics Officer.
CDR Bond’s duty assignments also include Coastal Riverine Squadron THREE (CRS-3) as Operations Officer and Engineering Assessments Atlantic as a Project Officer.
CDR Bond’s personal decorations include the, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various campaign, service, and unit awards.
