CDR Beth-Ann Martin graduated from the Naval Academy in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree, specialized in English and received a Masters of Education degree from Post University in 2017.CDR Martin served as Ordnance Officer and Force Protection Officer onboard USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58), completing one counter narcotics deployment to SOUTHCOM, and one Africa Partnership Station (APS) deployment to AFRICOM. For her second Division Officer tour, she served as Damage Control Assistant (DCA) onboard USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG 49), completing another APS deployment and completing INSURV. For her first department head tour, she served onboard USS San Antonio (LPD 17) as Combat Systems Officer and completed a deployment to FIFTH and SIXTH Fleets as well as an INSURV. Her second and post department head tours were with COMPHIBRON FOUR and COMPHIBRON SIX as the N1 and N3, respectively. While at COMPHIBRON FOUR, she completed a FIFTH and SIXTH Fleet deployment, supporting Operation Odyssey Lightning. During her COMPHIBRON SIX tenure, she completed a FIFTH and SIXTH Fleet deployment and served as operations officer onboard USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) during DSCA operations in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, she took over as Executive Officer onboard USS Oak Hill (LSD 51).
CDR Martin’s first shore tour was as Division Officer and Officer Recruiter in Division 9 out of Syracuse, NY for Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh. Post Department Head, she served as the Co-Course Manager for ARG/MEU Staff Planning Course and instructor for various courses at Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic.
Her personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), as well as various campaign and unit decorations.
