A native of Massachusetts, Master Chief Jedrykowski joined the Navy in 1993. After completing Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Fire Controlman ‘A’ School.
Upon completing his training, he was assigned to the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) in Norfolk, Virginia, as a NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System technician. He showcased his dedication by progressing from Seaman Apprentice to Second Class Petty Officer. In November 2003, he was then transferred to USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58) in Mayport, Florida. Initially, he worked as a Fire Control System technician and served as the Leading Petty Officer for CF Division. He successfully obtained the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification, was advanced, and assumed the role of Leading Chief Petty Officer. In January 2011, he was assigned to serve on the USS GETTYSBURG (CG 64) in Mayport, Florida. He began as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for CF Division, subsequently advanced to Master Chief, and took on the responsibilities of Combat Systems Maintenance Manager and Combat Systems Department Leading Chief Petty Officer.
In August 1999, he joined Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA) in Norfolk, Virginia. He worked as a craftsman, specializing in refurbishing the Close-In Weapon System and conducting Vertical Launching System Deluge and Electronic Cooling System flushes. It was during this time that he was advanced to First Class Petty Officer and eventually became the shop Leading Petty Officer. In December 2007, he transferred to Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. He took on the role of an Aegis Weapon System Technician instructor and rose to the rate of Senior Chief Petty Officer. He would also assume the position of Track Supervisor. In March 2015, he joined the Center for Personal and Professional Development, which later became part of Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) as General Skills Training (GST) Learning Site Dam Neck. He served as a Professional Development Instructor, earning the title of Master Training Specialist. He was entrusted with the role of Senior Enlisted Leader for all NETC GST Learning Sites worldwide and assumed the position of Regional Director for Region East, responsible for overseeing the East Coast and Europe. After completing his time at NETC GST, he received an assignment to Afloat Training Group Norfolk, Virginia. Here, he worked as a Combat Systems Afloat Trainer and took on the role of Leading Chief Petty Officer for various mission areas, including Air Warfare, Surface Warfare, Ballistic Missile Defense/Aegis Ashore, Carrier, and Amphibious. It was during this assignment that he obtained his Afloat Training Specialist certification.
In August 2021 Master Chief Jedrykowski reported to USS LEYTE GULF (CG 55), where he proudly serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of America’s Battle Cruiser. During his time onboard, he served as Combat Systems Maintenance Manager and Combat Systems Department Leading Chief Petty Officer supporting LEYTE GULF’s mission as the Air and Missile Defense Commander (WHISKEY) for Commander, Carrier Strike Group TEN through a successful 2022-23 C6F deployment. As well as a triumphant C4F deployment, conducting counter-illicit drug trafficking operations with the United States Coast Guard.
Master Chief Jedrykowski is a graduate of Coastline Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology. His awards and decorations include a Meritorious Service Medal, four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, eleven Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals; various campaign, service and unit awards.
