Cmdr. Ezra Hatch

Commander Ezra Hatch is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. A Surface Warfare Officer, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February 1998, subsequently graduated from Liberty University, and received his commission via Officer Candidate School in 2008. He earned his Master of Business Administration in Manpower Management from Naval Postgraduate School.
CDR Hatch’s Division Officer tours were aboard USS MILIUS (DDG 69) as the Gunnery and Ordnance Officer, followed by USS CAPE ST. GEORGE (CG 71) as Training Officer. As a Department Head, he served on board USS NITZE (DDG 94) as the Plans and Tactics Officer, followed by Operations Officer for Destroyer Squadron 28. He has completed six deployments to the C4F, C5F, and C6F areas of responsibility.
Ashore, CDR Hatch attended the Naval Post-graduate School and completed the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Warfare Tactics Instructor (IAMD WTI) course prior to being stationed at Naval Surface and Mine Warfare Development Command teaching Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT). He also served as the Amphibious Ship, Military Sealift Command, and Executive Placement Officer for Navy Personnel Command (PERS-41) in Millington, Tennessee.
Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal (eight awards), and various other unit level awards.
