A 2007 graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps program from Rochester Institute of Technology, Commander Darjany earned a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing. Darjany earned a master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies form the Naval War College where he was the Senior Class Honor Graduate. He is originally from Marcy, New York. Commander Darjany’s shipboard assignments include: MCM Crew Conflict as Electrical/Auxiliaries Officer and 1st Lieutenant, USS Sampson (DDG 102) as Training Officer, USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) as Plans and Tactics Officer, and USS Warrior (MCM 10) as Executive and Commanding Officer. Ashore, he served as Instructor of Naval Science at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis Maryland, and Prospective Commanding Officer Course Coordinator at Surface Warfare Officers School, Newport Rhode Island. Most recently, he was a student at the Naval War College in Newport. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and various unit, campaign, and service awards.
