CMDCM ANGELA L. QUACKENBUSH
COMMAND MASTER CHIEF, USS OSCAR AUSTIN (DDG 79)

Master Chief Quackenbush is a native of Altmar, NY. She graduated from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School in 2002. CMDCM Quackenbush entered the Navy in August 2002 and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, IL. After completing CTR “A” School in Pensacola, FL she reported to Navy Information Operations Command – Hawaii and worked as the Data Acquisitions Watch Chief and a signals analyst.
In April 2006, she attended Command and Control Tactical Analysis (C2TAC) training in Pensacola, FL and received follow-on orders to Navy Information Operations Command – Whidbey Island. She completed deployments to Al Asad, Iraq, Bagram, Afghanistan, a 5th fleet deployment on the USS THEODOORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71), and deployed in support of multiple exercises. All in support of the Global War on Terrorism. She qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.
In January 2010 she reported to the Center for Information Dominance Unit Corry Station in Pensacola, FL where she served as a Departmental Leading Petty Officer and C2TAC instructor. She was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and earned her Master Training Specialist Qualification.
In August 2011 she reported to Naval Special Warfare Development Group where she earned her Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, Information Warfare Specialist, and received the Tactical Information’s Operations – Operator NEC. During her tour she completed multiple deployments and was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer.
April of 2018 she reported to Navy Information Operations Command – Colorado and served as the Workforce Support Activities Senior Enlisted Leader and the Joint Senior Enlisted Leader, She received recognition as the Joint Senior Enlisted Member of the Year for the National Security Agency. She attended the Senior Enlisted Academy in 2019 and in 2020 she was selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader Program and graduated from CMC/COB Course in October 2020.
In January 2021 she reported to USS CONSTINTUTION, the oldest commissioned warship afloat. She was promoted to Master Chief with her brother EMNCM(SS) Quackenbush on the main hatch. She guided the crew through reopening after the COVID epidemic and the first CPO Heritage Weeks after two years.
She reported to USS OSCAR AUSTIN (DDG 79) in November 2021 where she is presently serving.
Master Chief Quackenbush’s personal awards include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2), Joint Service Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (1), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6), and numerous campaign and unit awards.
