Command Master Chief Ditimus, a native of New Orleans, LA, enlisted in the United States Navy in September 1996. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL he reported to Seaman Apprenticeship Training Great Lakes, IL.
Upon completion of training, Command Master Chief Ditimus reported for duty onboard the USS Detroit (AOE-4) Earle, NJ from December 1996 to May 2001. His fleet assignments include USS Saipan (LHA 2) Norfolk, VA from November 2004 to April 2007, USS Cole (DDG-67) Norfolk, VA from June 2009 to April 2012, and USS Ramage (DDG-61) Norfolk, VA from November 2015 to February 2019.
In addition, Command Master Chief Ditimus completed shore assignments at Port Operations Kings Bay, GA from June 2001 to October 2002, MA-RCM Norfolk, VA form October 2002 to November 2004, Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Yokosuka, Japan from May 2007 to May 2009, and Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL from November 2012 to November 2015.
Command Master Chief Ditimus was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2016 and then Command Master Chief Ditimus was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2016 and then
selected for Command Master Chief in 2021. Command Master Chief Ditimus served as the Command Master Chief onboard USS Detroit (LCS-7), Mayport, FL and currently serving as the Command Master Chief onboard USS Ross (DDG 71), Rota, Spain.
Command Master Chief Ditimus is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 219 and CMC/COB Course Class 197. Additionally, Command Master Chief Ditimus has earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and Master Training Specialist designations.
His decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (5 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
