Capt. Scott A. Rosetti

A native of Chesterton, Indiana, CAPT Scott Rosetti graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and received his commission through the Naval ROTC program.
At sea, CAPT Rosetti served as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer in USS SAN JACINTO (CG 56) and subsequently on USS LEYTE GULF (CG 55) as the Main Propulsion Assistant, both home ported in Norfolk, VA. After completing Department Head School in Newport, RI, he reported back to Norfolk to serve as Chief Engineer in USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51). He also served as Combat Systems Officer in USS RUSSELL (DDG 59), home ported in Pearl Harbor, HI.
Upon completion of his Department Head assignments, CAPT Rosetti reported to the staff of Commander, SEVENTH Fleet embarked on USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) in Yokosuka, Japan, where he served as Fleet Ballistic Missile Defense Officer. He served as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of USS JOHN PAUL JONES (DDG 53), home ported in Pearl Harbor, HI and served as Deputy Commodore, Destroyer Squadron TWO EIGHT.
His shore assignments include tours as Post-Department Head Detailer for Commander, Naval Personnel Command; Defense Trade Analyst within the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls at the U.S. Department of State; Director of the Surface Commanders Course at Surface Warfare Schools Command in Newport, RI; and Missile Defense Policy Division Chief for the Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate of the Joint Staff.
CAPT Rosetti holds a Master of Science degree in Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation from the Naval Postgraduate School.
CAPT Rosetti’s personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and numerous unit and campaign awards.
