CDR Money a native of Germanton, North Carolina commissioned from North Carolina State University, ROTC in May 2008.
In July 2008, he reported to the USS FORD (FFG 54) in Everett, WA where he served as the Assistant Operations Officer, Training Officer, Damage Control Assistant, Combat Information Center Officer, and Repair Division Officer. During his tour he completed deployments to the 7
th and 4
th Fleet AORs.
In May 2011, he reported to USS SHOUP (DDG 86) as the Training Officer. During his tour he led the ship through the Basic and Advanced training phases in support of a 5
th Fleet deployment.
In January 2013, he reported to Naval Station Everett, WA as the Assistant Operations Officer. During his tour he led the planning efforts several fleet weeks and preparations for the arrival of two ships conducting a homeport shift from San Diego, California.
Following his shore duty assignment, he reported to USS LABOON (DDG 58) in Norfolk, VA as the Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer. During his tours he completed two deployments to the 6
th and 5
th Fleet AORs.
In August 2020, he reported to Carrier Strike Group TWELVE as the Strike Officer. During his tour he helped establish the operational capabilities of the USS GERALD R FORD (CVN 78) and planned for FORD’s inaugural deployment in 2022.
CDR Money’s personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (3rd award) and the Navy Achievement Medal (2nd award).
CDR Money is married to the former Justine Cramer of Bothell, WA. They live in North Carolina and have two children: Emma 7, and Quinn 1.
