Cmdr. Paul D. Clarke

Commander Paul Clarke is a native of Brighton, England and a 1998 graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy with Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science. He also holds Master’s degrees in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island and National Security from the Navy War College.
Commander Clarke’s sea tours include USS
O’Brien (DD 975) serving first as Damage Control Officer then later as Auxiliaries Officer and Navigator from 1999-2003; USS
Ashland (LSD 48) as Chief engineer from 2005-2006, sailing in support of Operation
Enduring Freedom; Amphibious Squadron
Six as the Material Officer from 2007-2008; and USS
Wasp (LHD 1) as Damage Control Assistant from 2012-2013.
Ashore, Commander Clarke served as a Damage Control and Navigation Instructor for the Surface Warfare Officer School Division Officer course; Independent Deployer Plans and Policy Director on the staff of Commander, Strike Force Training Atlantic; and as the Operations Support Officer on the staff of Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various service, campaign, and unit decorations.
Commander Clarke has been the Executive Officer of Engineering Assessments Atlantic since January 2017.
