 Commander Galindo is a native of Coral Springs, FL.  He attended the United States Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with merit and commissioning in 2006. He is a 2020 graduate with distinction of the Naval War College and Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS).
 
At sea, Galindo served as Electronics Repair Officer in USS Essex (LHD 2), Navigator in USS Nitze (DDG 94), Operations Officer in USS Tortuga (LSD 46), and First Lieutenant in USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7).  During his seagoing career, he has made five patrols in the Western Pacific supporting multinational exercises and operations; one deployment to the Arabian Gulf in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom; and participated in sea-based disaster relief operations in Haiti and the Florida Keys.
 
Ashore, Galindo served as the Operations Assessment Team Chief for the 607th Air Operations Center in Osan, Korea.  He was also assigned as an instructor of international training and later as the lead instructor for expeditionary and deck billet specialty training at the Surface Warfare Officers’ School in Newport, RI.  Most recently, he served as Navy Aide-de-Camp to the 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps.
 
Galindo’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Air Force Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and various campaign and unit awards.  He was Expeditionary Strike Group Seven shiphandler of the year and was fortunate to have been associated with outstanding crews who earned five Battle ‘E’ Awards.
