 Lieutenant Commander Delta Hinson is a native of Albany, Ga. He graduated from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, in 2004, with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication Studies.  He commissioned through Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island in March 2010.
A career surface warfare officer, Lieutenant Commander Hinson’s shipboard assignments include: USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) as Deck Division Officer and Electronic Technician Division Officer, USS Tempest (PC 2) as Weapons Officer and Executive Officer, USS James E. Williams (DDG 95) as Weapons Officer and USS Monterey (CG 61) as Plan and Tactics Officer.  Ashore, he served as Assistant Professor of Naval Science and Surface Warfare Officer Advisor at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and CRUDES Readiness and Training Officer at Commander, Naval Surface Atlantic.
