Command Master Chief (CMDCM) Gabriel Pedraza is a native of Brooklyn, New York. Master Chief Pedraza reported to Navy Boot Camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes in September of 2000. Upon completion of boot camp, he attended the Aviation Electronics Technician and Naval Air Crewman schools at Navy Technical Training Center in Pensacola, Florida.
Master Chief Pedraza tours include Patrol Squadron One from 2002 to 2006 at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, Washington, where he earned his NATOPS Instructor Qualification as an In-Flight Technician. He then transferred to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20) NAS Pawtuxet River MD where he worked as a Patrol Squadron Test In-Flight Technician from 2006 to 2009.
After completing his tour at VX-20, CMDCM reported to Patrol Squadron Three Zero at NAS Jacksonville, FL, where he served as a Fleet Replacement Squadron Instructor and served on the Fleet NATOPS Inspection Team and a Master Training Specialist from 2009 to 2016. Additionally, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader at the Patrol Squadron Three Zero Squadron Augment Unit. After his instructor tour, Master Chief Pedraza transferred to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five Eight in Jacksonville, FL, where he served as the Maintenance Master Chief and the Safe for Flight Program Manager. During this tour, he was selected for the Command Program.
In 2019, Master Chief Pedraza transferred to Fighter Composite Squadron One One located in Key West, FL, where he served as the Command Master Chief for the world’s finest Adversary Squadron. After three years with Fighter Composite Squadron One One, he was selected to serve as the Command Master Chief of DDG 103, the USS TRUXTUN, where he is currently serving.
Master Chief Pedraza received his Master’s Degree from the University of North Florida in Mental Health Counseling and is a 2018 graduate of the U.S. Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 212. In 2019, he completed the Command Master Chief/ Chief of the Boat course in Newport, Rhode Island.
