 A native of Banbury, England, Command Master Chief Jones enlisted in the Navy on November 29, 2000. Jones' military training and certification includes Master Training Specialist & Afloat Training Specialist; he is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 215), and CMC/COB course. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from American Military University in 2009, and his Master of Science in Safety & Occupational Health from Columbia Southern University in 2019.
 
Jones reported to USS​ CURTS (FFG 38) in May 2002 after completion of his initial training. In May 2005, he reported to Navy Operational Support Center New London in Groton, Connecticut. In November 2009, he transferred to instructor duty at Naval Hospital Corps “A" School, in Great Lakes, IL, where he was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2010. He reported to Navy Medicine Training Support Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX, where he served as LCPO for Instructor Orientation, Training and Curriculum Management. In June 2013, he was assigned to the Surface Warfare Medical Institute in San Diego, CA as a student for the Independent Duty Corpsman program, and upon graduation, reported to USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG 98), homeported in Norfolk, VA. He was advanced to Senior Chief in April of 2017, and subsequently assumed duties as the Full Time Support Hospital Corpsman detailer at Naval Personnel Command, Millington, TN in May 2017.
 
Selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Program in 2019, he reported to Navy Operational Support Center Newport, Rhode Island as the Command Senior Chief in July 2020, and was promoted to Master Chief in June 2021. He assumed his current position in February 2022.
 
Command Master Chief Jones is entitled to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare pin, the Navy Commendation Medal (Four Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Five Awards), and various campaign, service and unit awards.​
