Commander Davis is a 2005 graduate of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program from the University of California at Los Angeles where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
At sea, he served as Supply Officer and Assistant Chief Engineer for MHC Crew Loyalty, Operations Officer and Executive Officer for MHC Crew Excel, Training Officer aboard USS Stephen W Groves, Operations Officer aboard USS Hopper (DDG 70), and Combat Systems Officer aboard USS O’Kane (DDG 77).
Ashore, he served as the American Liaison Officer to the United Kingdom’s Britannia Royal Naval College as part of the Personnel Exchange Program. He also served as the Fleet Scheduler and the lead planner in the Future Operations directorate at U.S. Pacific Fleet. Most recently, he served as the first Material Readiness Officer at Mine Division Two Two.
His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
