Senior Chief Walker is a native of Wellsville, Ohio. He enlisted in United States Navy in June 1999 and completed Yeoman “A” school in Meridian, MS.  His journey began when he reported to PSD Millington, TN in 1999.  Upon the completion of his first tour, YN3 Walker reported to USS MAHAN (DDG 72) in 2002 where he advanced to Yeoman Second Class and became the Administrative Leading Petty Officer.

In 2005, YN2 Walker reported to Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA where he was assigned as the Staff Administrative Leading Petty Officer.  Shortly thereafter, during this tour, YN2 Walker advanced to Yeoman First Class and earned selection as the NPS Staff “Senior Sailor of the Year”.  In 2008, YN1 Walker returned to sea onboard USS FORD (FFG 54) where he was assigned as the Ship’s Secretary and Executive Department Leading Petty Officer. 

Upon completion of a tenacious tour in 2011, YN1 Walker reported to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI where he was selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2011 and graduated from the 2011 CPO Legacy Academy (Class 005) onboard USS MISSOURI.  He continued to serve as the Administrative Officer and Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Administrative Department.  His following tour, YNC Walker reported to Commander, Carrier Air Wing SEVENTEEN (CVW-17) as Administrative Department Leading Chief Petty Officer completing a 10-month combat deployment onboard USS CARL VINSON  (CVN 70) in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and transitioning CVW-17 to USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71).

He reported to Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN Detachment Sasebo Japan in 2017 for duty as the Administrative Leading Chief Petty Officer and Strike Group Manning Monitor.  YNCS Walker reported to Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN Okinawa, Japan in 2020 for duty as Staff Senior Enlisted Advisor. 

Senior Chief Walker serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader aboard USS DEVASTATOR (MCM 6), Manama, Bahrain. Command Senior Chief Walker is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 213/Red Group) and a graduate of CMC/COB course (Class 21100).  Command Senior Chief Walker’s awards include:  Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (5 awards), and various other personal and unit awards.
