 Lieutenant Commander Chrisman Thompson hails from Siler City, North Carolina.  He commissioned through the NROTC program at North Carolina State University in 2007.  He holds a Masters degree in Systems Engineering and Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School.  While at the Naval Postgraduate School, he completed his JPME Phase 1 through the Naval War College.

Operational assignments include a tour as Communications officer onboard USS SIMPSON (FFG 56), Navigator onboard USS JOHN L HALL (FFG 32), Operations Officer onboard USS GRAVELY (DDG 107), N3/N8 at Destroyer Squadron Twenty-Two, and Combat Systems Officer onboard USS HERSHEL “WOODY” WILLIAMS (ESB 4). 
           
During his sea tours, LCDR Thompson participated in two deployments to Fifth Fleet and two Counter Narco-Terrorism deployments. He served in OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. 
Personal Awards include four Naval Commendation Medals, two Naval Achievement Medals, as well as multiple unit and service awards.
