Command Master Chief, USS Bainbridge (DDG 96)

Master Chief Ryan Gray is currently serving as Command Master Chief onboard USS BAINBRIDGE (DDG 96). He is a native of Bakersfield, California, where he enlisted in the U. S. Navy in October of 2000. After completing Recruit Training in Great lakes, Illinois, he reported to his first duty station at Beachmaster Unit One out of Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California.
At sea, his assignments include USS BAINBRIDGE (DDG 96) from 2004 to 2007, USS WAYNE E. MEYER (DDG 108) from 2009 to 2014, and his most recent tour as the Command Master Chief of the RAGIN' BULLS VFA-37 from 2018 to 2021.
At shore, his assignments include Naval Recruiting District Atlanta and Command Master Chief of the USS CONSTITUTION, Old Ironsides, the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.
Master Chief Gray's military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
