Commander Rob Keller graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2006 with a degree in Economics. He holds graduate degrees in Leadership, Education, and Development from the University of Maryland and National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
Commander Keller has served at sea as Main Propulsion and Auxiliaries Officer on USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45), Fire Control Officer on USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57), Chief Engineer on USS STOCKDALE (DDG 106), and Materials Officer for COMPHIBRON THREE (CPR-3).
Ashore, he has served at the United States Naval Academy as a Company Officer and Adjunct Instructor for Leadership; Navy Personnel Command, Surface Warfare Assignments as the Assistant Director; Bureau of Naval Personnel as the Surface Enlisted Community Manager; and the headquarters of NORAD and USNORTHCOM as the Commander’s Speechwriter and Branch Lead for Integrated Air and Missile Defense Design.
Commander Keller's personal decorations include the Joint Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6 awards), and other personal, joint, and unit level awards. He is a recipient of the Navy and Marine Association Leadership Award, and a Carrier Strike Group ONE Junior Officer Tactician of the Year recipient.
